UC S.O.L.V.E. Health Tech bridges health equity and innovation to create and adapt products that reach marginalized populations.

We are the first health equity incubation partner dedicated to helping digital health companies improve their products so that they empower the people and health systems who need it most. We do this by directly partnering with digital health companies, patients, communities, and health systems to bring equity to every phase of the technology development process.

We have investigated usability challenges of mobile health applications to facilitate development and adaptation of apps for patients from all racial and ethnic groupsassessed readiness and willingness to use technology in safety-net care settings, and partnered with companies like Omada Health to translate their products to under-resourced populations

UC S.O.L.V.E. Health Tech is a cross-UC campus initiative, expanding across UCSF, UC Davis, and UC Berkeley, but our solutions are far-reaching. You can read more about our academic-industry partnerships in Harvard Business Review and the Health Affairs Blog
