Work with Us

At UC S.O.L.V.E. Health Tech, we are a university-based incubation partner embedded in a safety-net healthcare system, committed to advancing digital health solutions with a focus on fairness. Our goal is to help digital health companies design, develop, implement, and evaluate technologies that can improve health for all populations, especially underserved communities.

Our services are built to ensure that digital health solutions are not only effective but also accessible, inclusive, and impactful. We do this through three core service areas: Collaborative Consultation, Large-Scale Evaluations, and Education & Thought Leadership. We are not a volunteer-based organization, nor do we provide funding to other entities. Instead, we collaborate with industry partners, health systems, and communities to drive fairness and inclusion in digital health.

Our Services

Collaborative Consultation

We provide expert consultation to digital health companies and healthcare organizations, focusing on inclusive design, implementation, and evaluation of digital health technologies. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Adapting clinical trials to include key implementation outcomes like feasibility, acceptability, and sustainability
  • Reviewing and providing input on language and literacy considerations (in English, Spanish, and Cantonese) for print and media-based communications, particularly for populations with limited health literacy or English proficiency
  • Advising on usability testing, specifically for the inclusion of participants often excluded from clinical trials
  • Developing evaluation measures and sampling strategies
  • Coaching community health clinics and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) on implementing and overcoming innovations challenges, for example, in telehealth
  • Providing guidance to health providers and systems before, during, and after digital health interventions

We offer two types of consultation:

  • Faculty-Led Consultation: Direct input from a member of our faculty.
  • Staff-Led Consultation: Staff support for project management, coordination, data collection, analysis, and dissemination of results.

  • Study design and ethical approvals
  • Participant engagement and recruitment
  • Data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • Presentation and dissemination of results, including publication in peer-reviewed journals
